Rear thru axle only compatible with Noxon / PMP Nitro and Engage rear hubs. Compatible with both SRAM and Shimano 10/11 speed freewheels for Noxon and PMP wheelsets: Explorer, Evolution, Nitro, Nitro Race, Nitro Carbon in 12x142 mm version.
The internal diameter of the axis is 15mm. Please double check before purchasing in order to avoid purchasing an incompatible component.
The product is equipped with new seals at the side caps (adapters) to prevent dirt from entering the hub and protect the outer bearing.
Recommendations:
- During assembly, make sure to insert the spacer with a thickness of 3 mm (supplied) between the hub body and the free wheel in order to respect the stops and obtain correct hub operation. If it is not mounted, you may later notice the malfunction due to the preload of the bearings, so we recommend that you pay close attention to this step.
- When replacing this spare part, remember to carefully clean the internal surface where the ring nut for coupling the ratchets is housed.
- Grease the axle with a thin layer of grease (not lithium). Preferably, use a grease of the silicone type or in any case particularly viscous.
- Check the cleanliness of the system approximately every 10 outings to preserve and give the component longer life.
Maintenance: Our technology allows for quick and easy disassembly of the hub pin, having to loosen a single dowel placed on the lateral adapter on the disc side. Once done, you can extract the pin and free wheel, even without disassembling the sprocket set. In about 15 seconds you can easily access the internal system in order to check the actual state of the mechanical surfaces of the hub.
